It’s a Comic Sans World

the comic sans project

Designers have their in-jokes and their shibboleths. It’s a thing that that I knew nothing about as I got my feet wet working on websites 10 years ago, and I’m thankful that my mentors treated me kindly as the ignorance poured forth from my lips.  Live and learn, it’s the only way.

One of these learned-the-hard-way lessons is that there is a universal loathing of the font Comic Sans.  Even if it’s just the thing, it shan’t be used. Except of course, in the case of irony. Thus, I give you The Comic San Project.

I don’t know, it’s kind of cute. Rules were meant to be broken, right?
